Selling & Buying Homes in Northern Virginia
There aren't a lot of places like Northern Virginia. Which can be good and bad. There's a lot of movement in and out of the area, due to both political changes, but also the normal movement of government and military personnel in and out of the area.
By definition, Northern Virginia typically includes the close in counties of Arlington and Fairfax, the cities of Alexandria, Falls Church and Fairfax, as well as the outer counties of Prince William and Loudon. Some folks go a little farther out. But everyone agrees to include these areas.
In general, the schools are all pretty good, but Fairfax ranks the highest, most of the time. Shopping is plentiful. Traffic is horrible -- but it can make a big difference if you're going with or against the flow. Metro and VRE can be a life-saver for many folks.
We're long time residents, which doesn't mean we know everything, but it does mean we know a lot. And we'd be pleased and even a little happy to spend a little time with you, to help you figure out how you want to approach buying a home in the area, or selling one, too.
